Rainbow Montessori Teacher Educational Centre offers the following courses.
-
Early Childhood Course
The Part time Early Childhood course that we offer aims at developing a high level of professional competence in advocating the Montessori Method for children between the ages of two and a half and six.
- Literacy Workshop
Montessori teachers having qualified in Japanese will be able to take an English Language workshop over a period of ten days (or 30 hours, in May-July 2008) covering the whole Montessori curriculum in Literacy.

The Course Overview:
The Part time Early Childhood course that we offer aims at developing a high level of professional competence in advocating the Montessori Method for children between the ages of two and a half and six.
At the end of the
course, the student will have gained understanding of the Montessori philosophy and competence in using the didactic material. The student will be confident in delivering the Montessori Early years curriculum and also understand other child development issues.

The Course Develops:
Acquaintance of the student with Dr Montessori’s philosophy and method of education.
- Knowledge of other theories of child development aiming at building analytic educational values reflecting the Montessori Method of education
- Knowledge of the Montessori early years curriculum
- Knowledge of the didactic materials
- Knowledge of other issues relating to childcare, health and education

| Stages (3 Stages): |
- Stage 1:
Students study for a period of one academic year (210 hours) that is divided into 3 terms.
Students compile files, essays and projects over the course of study and should attend a minimum of 90 per cent of the lectures.
- Stage 2:
Students take the Practical and Written examinations.
- Stage 3:
Students complete 420 hours of teaching practice. Students compile a Teaching Practice portfolio and a Child Profile.
The course maintains a balance between theory and practice in order to help newly qualified Montessori teachers to start working with full confidence.

| Entry Qualification: |
- Applicants should have a good command of the English language(equivalent of TOEIC or First certificated in English-Cambridge examination), as all lectures and examinations are in English.
- Applicants should be aged 18 years or over.
- All candidates are assessed for entry on individual merits.

Process:
Call to make an appointment for an informal interview (strongly recommended).
Fill out an application form and send the registration fees(50,000 Yen).
This will guarantee your place for the course. After completing the Teaching Practice, candidates will be able to work in many countries all around the world. |

Literacy Workshop |

The Workshop Overview:
Montessori teachers having qualified in Japanese will be able to take an English Language workshop over a period of ten days (or 30 hours, in May-July 2008) covering the whole Montessori curriculum in Literacy, and will be awarded an MCI
Certificate of attendance.
Internship Program will be available soon.
After applying to the course, students will have access to discounted Gonzagarredi (Italian made) Montessori Material. |
